Violence against women

Hello dear readers!

Today, I want to speak about the day 25th of November, in which we say no to the violence against women. In this post I am referring to both of them, the women's and the men's.

Violence against women (VAW) is, collectively, violent acts that are exclusively committed against women. Sometimes considered a hate crime, this type of violence targets a specific group with the victim's gender as a primary motive. This type of violence is gender-based, meaning that the acts of violence are committed against women expressly because they are women, or as a result of patriarchal gender constructs. The United Nations Generals Assembly has designated November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The premise of the day is to raise awareness of the fact that women around the world are subject to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence; furthermore, one of the aims of the day is to highlight that the scale and true nature of the issue is often hidden. For 2014, the official Theme framed by the UN Secretary-Generals campaign unite to End Violence against Women, is Orange your Neighbourhood.

I agree with the official UN Secretary-Generals campaign, it's about time this violence ended. But, a lot of people had promised that this violence is going to end that this is not going to happen any more, but we can see it in our lives nowadays, so I came to the conclusion that we can't wait more to take measures. This only can end if we work all together. I want to add, that the violence against society is as important as the violence against women. This violence referring to children, is growing year by year, and this also has to end. The other day, I saw a case of a violence to the society, a father killed his children ( a little girl and a boy less than then years) with a metal bar. The children weren't the problem, the man had the problem with the wife, so why this people think that killing his children the problem is going to finish? is something that I don't understand, and I think that is better to not understand.

Well, this is all for today, I hope you will like my article about violence against women, and don't forget to let a comment. I will publish another work soon.
Bye!
